Please note we have had to modify our hours due to the Province of Ontario’s Stay At Home order.

Yet we remain open to serve you… safely.

We continue to quarantine all items for three days prior to clean.

We have increased our cleaning protocols, cleaning counters after each customer and cleaning our stations when we leave them.

Masks are mandatory for all staff and customers. If you cannot wear a mask, please remain outside, call the location and let us know and we will gladly come to you to help (Meaford and Collingwood locations only).

Keeping your clothes and bedding clean will help prevent the transmission of any active virus.

Do your part: wear a mask, wash your hands, stay 6 feet apart and keep your area clean and tidy and we will get through this.

Georgian Bay wet Cleaners will re-open its doors Monday 4 May 2020.

We will be open Monday and Wednesday 10:00am – 4:00pm, Saturday 10:00am – 1:00pm.

We are doing everything we can to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers and our staff. 

Orders will be accepted and placed in quarantine for 3-5 days prior to cleaning. This is to ensure no active virus remains on the clothes, protecting you and our staff.

  • NO rushes will be accepted. 
  • Limit 2 customers at a time. 
  • Items updated upon inspection.
  • We are cleaning and disinfecting customer area after each and every customer.

Due to the unprecedented threat we are facing, Georgian Bay Wet Cleaners has made the difficult decision to remain closed to the public until 4 May 2020, at which time we will re-evaluate the risks.

In that time we are determining Best Practises on how to keep our staff and customers safe.

Due to the unprecedented threat we are facing, Georgian Bay Wet Cleaners has made the difficult decision to close its doors to the public until 14 April 2020.

We are open for essential service personnel on an on-call basis.

Should you be an Essential Worker and require help, please CALL 705.445.2811 to arrange drop off.

With the evolving situation around the spread of COVID-19 in Canada, we want to let you know Georgian Bay Wet Cleaners remains open.

First and foremost, the safety of our staff and customers is our top priority. At this time, the risk of COVID-19 remains low in Ontario, however GBWC is taking swift and decisive action to protect our staff and business.

We are:

  • Washing our hands and surfaces after each customer
  • Cleaning all equipment and surfaces throughout the day
  • Cleaning all garment bags every day

The CDC advises that the cleaning process, which includes cleaning and pressing, is effective on most viruses.  As is true with other viruses, laundering in hot water, 160 degrees F and with chlorine bleach is the most effective method for sanitizing laundry.  If hot water and chlorine bleach are not safe for the items then laundering with a disinfectant product is an option. The CDC states the laundering with detergent alone is an effective method.

We are closely monitoring the situation and doing everything we can to keep you safe.
We understand you may be concerned for yourself and your family, and understand your concerns.

If you would like to drop items off that may be contaminated with COVID-19, please secure them in a sealed bag and call ahead to advise us of the situation, where we will give you directions on how best to proceed.
