New location open for business!

At Georgian Bay Wet Cleaners, we’re really excited to announce that our new location at 136 Pine Street is finally open for business.

It’s been a long haul. We purchased the building and business from the previous dry cleaning location here and completed remodelling the place from the ground up. We patched and painted. We installed brighter lighting. We purchase state-of-the-art Miele Wet Cleaning and Veit Finishing Equipment. New lobby. New computers. New software. We hired new staff.

Along the way, we also figured a new logo might be in order – and here’s what we’ve put together.

We’re really happy about this. It represents us and what we’re trying to do. First and foremost, we use environmentally friendly cleaning agents – and water does most of the work. This is represented by the leafy water droplet. Secondarily, we wanted people to know that Wet Cleaning does exactly what Dry Cleaning can do (and better!) in a NON-TOXIC manner. This is why we added the phrase “Non-Toxic Dry Cleaning” below our new name.

The name. Right. With our move to Collingwood, we can service the majority of the Georgian Triangle. With physical locations in both Meaford and Collingwood, and drop off locations in Thornbury, Blue Mountains, Creemore and Wasaga Beach, we really feel we can meet the needs of this entire geographic area. Thus the “Georgian Bay” phrasing in our name – as opposed to just “Collingwood”.

We also felt it was important that the phrase “Wet Cleaners” was included in our name. It’s what we do. It’s entirely different from Dry Cleaning which uses chemicals that are harmful to our environment and our staff. We want people to know that we committed to cleaning in an environmentally-friendly manner.
